MDF object, Foundation Data, Generic Object

Foundation Data is the core data that is used by SuccessFactors as the foundation upon which other modules and features build. It includes data such as employee, job, position, organization, and location data. Foundation Data is used by various modules in SuccessFactors to provide context and reference points for employee-related data.

Generic Object is a configurable framework in SuccessFactors that allows users to create custom objects for storing data. These objects are called MDF (Metadata Framework) objects. The Generic Object framework allows users to create custom fields, define relationships between objects, and define business rules to validate data and automate processes.

MDF (Metadata Framework) objects are used to store additional data that is not included in Foundation Data. These objects provide users with a way to store custom data that is specific to their organization and not available in the standard SuccessFactors data model. Users can create MDF objects to store data such as training records, certifications, and other types of employee-related data that are not included in Foundation Data.
